Long-term Migrants

Many migrants are opting to take up Irish citizenship and call Ireland their permanent home. Between 2005 and 2012 over 50,000 non-Irish became Irish citizens.

The population of Dublin is now extremely diverse with people of many different nationalities and cultures living and working here. Indeed we have found a similar diversity amongst our registered volunteers.

Volunteering offers a perfect opportunity to become part of the community, to gain valuable experience and improve English. Giving your time to an organisation can also boost your CV and regular volunteering can result in new references for jobseekers.

Why not have a look at our latest opportunities to see what kind of volunteering you can do? You can also contact us to make an appointment to chat to a Placement officer about ideas.

If you are have recently moved to Dublin or if you are in Dublin to learn English, you might like to attend our Volunteering while Learning English information workshop.
