Community Volunteers

Ready when the community needs us

A team of trained local volunteers who help out at community events and step in when local emergencies happen.

What is Community Volunteers?

We recruit and train volunteers so they’re ready to help whenever they’re needed. Volunteers choose one-off opportunities that suit them, and organisations get trained, supported people for their event or emergency response.

  • Community eventsFestivals, conferences and other one-off events run by not-for-profit organisations.
  • Local emergenciesUrgent community responses, coordinated with the organisations on the ground.
For volunteers

Join in three steps

  1. Register your interest

Fill in a short form about yourself and your interests.

  2. Complete a short training

Watch a few videos and answer a couple of questions, at your own pace.

  3. Meet us

Have an informal chat with our team on Zoom. After your final training, you can sign up for opportunities from our calendar of events.

The whole process usually takes one to two weeks.
