Finding volunteering to suit you is easy. Just follow these simple steps!
It takes just a few minutes to sign up to I-VOL, the National Volunteering Database. You will need an email account and your address and phone number to get started.
To start your search of volunteer opportunities, head to the IVOL Database search page.
Be sure to use the filters for location, availability and areas of interest to choose what’s best for you.
3. REGISTER your interest
After you submit your search, you will get a list of roles. To learn more about a particular role click on the pink ‘View’ button. This brings you to the role description page. Read this page carefully and make sure you understand what role involves, where it is located and what the commitment is.
If a role suits you, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click ‘Register’.
Your application will be processed by your local volunteer centre.
4. SCREENING
Once we get your application, we will process your details and send you an email with next steps. Please note: during busy times, it may take a few days before you receive this information
Once we have sent you the next steps, you should be in direct contact with the organisation that you applied to volunteer with. Please contact the organisation directly is you have questions about your application.
5. VOLUNTEER!
If your application is successful, you can start volunteering!
